SAILING

Bass River Yacht Club offers a range of sailing opportunities for racing, instruction, and use of club owned boats.

Our Mission:
The mission of the Bass River Yacht Club is to encourage and support the sport of sailing and all aspects of yachting in an environment of fellowship and goodwill.

BRYC supports the mission statement by enabling members to share the love of sailing and seamanship basics with other members. Our programs cover racing at very levels, social sailing, and instruction. All members of the Bass River Yacht Club can take advantage of the sailing programs. There is no additional sign up or fee involved. Tutoring is free to members and is provided by members to members.

The objectives of the Adult Social Sailing Program are:

  • To give non-sailors a way to start and learn sailing
  • To encourage sailors to share their skills and provide some tutoring and instruction
  • To promote social group sailing

Our fleet of member and club owned boats, for racing and instruction, consists of:

  • Wianno Seniors
  • Beetle Cats
  • Catalina Capri 14.2
  • Lasers
  • 420’s
  • Optimists
  • O’Day 25

Adaptive Sailing – We are proud to support Sail Cape Cod, a non-profit Community Sailing Program whose mission is to improve the quality of life in the community through sailing for people of all ages, socio-economic backgrounds, and physical and developmental abilities. Sail Cape Cod offers a range of sailing classes providing ‘Access to All without Limitations’ regardless of the sailor’s physical, cognitive, or economic ability and to ensure that every individual is able to share in the idyllic Cape Cod activity of sailing, whether they are living on the Cape or visiting from around the world.
